50 kilometers north of Makassar, Bantimurung Bulusaurung is a paradise for butterflies. The park is a habitat for endemic and rare butterflies, birds, and insects. There is even a butterfly museum that displays thousands of butterfly species inhabiting this national park.There is also the grand waterfall of Bantimurung, with a height of 15 meters and a width of 20 meters. Some believe that Bantimurung came from the Bugis language which means water roaring.
